I'm a postdoctoral scientist at Washington State University working with Joanna Kelley. My research centers around understanding what lives where in cold places, how organisms have adapted to those environments, and their future given a rapidly warming climate and receding cryosphere. This work integrates a range of themes, including stream ecology, long-term ecological monitoring, genome science, and ecophysiology, and spans empirical and applied questions.
While my research emphasis is on mountain habitats in the Rocky Mountains and Cascades of western North America, I'm actively pursuing related research around the world (including at polar latitudes).
